Pastor Sunny Cookey
Pastor Sunny Arinye Cookey was born on the 19th of August 1962 at Egwenga (now Ikot Abasi).
He had his Primary Education at St. George’s Primary School, Egwenga (Ikot Abasi) from1971 to 1975 where he did his Primary one to Five and later completed his Primary Six at State School one, Bernard-Carr in Port Harcourt, Rivers State.
He attended Comprehensive Secondary School, Opobo as a pioneer student and obtained his West African Examination Certificate (WAEC) in 1981.
Pastor Sunny Cookey was determined to further his education despite the hardship he faced at an early age. He worked with Nigerian Ports Authority and later left to further his university education totally depending on God to make provision for him.
He attended the University of Port Harcourt and graduated in 1989 with BSc. in Economics. While in the University, he was an active Leader in NIFES ( Nigerian Fellowship of Evangelical Students): He was the NIFES General Secretary UNIPORT and later appointed NIFES Sub- Zonal President in charge of all the Higher Institutions in Rivers State.
He did his National Youth Service Corp (NYSC) at Katsina State in 1989/90 session.
Pastor Sunny Cookey is an ardent believer of Self development and a Lover of knowledge. Despite his tight schedule, he graduated with a Doctorate Degree in Christian Philosophy ( Major in Theology) from Christian Leadership University, Florida in 2021
The Mandate
Pastor Sunny Cookey received a Mandate to preach the Kingdom, heal the sick, and set the captives free. When he was an undergraduate in the University of Port Harcourt in 1987. God showed him a vision, a big dark hall where prisoners where kept with windows that had heavy burglaries. He noticed a staff in his hands with which he pointed at the door and it opened at its own accord and a crowd of prisoners came out free with joy. This was a Liberation Mandate! This revelation was confirmed in the scripture in Isaiah 42:6-7. His Apostolic Mandate was also confirmed in a vision and in the scriptures 1 Tim2:7
He was led to establish Lifegate Power Ministries on Friday, March 29th 1996 and the Maiden Service on Sunday 31st March ( Easter Sunday) 1996 at Erijoy Hotel and later moved to Dominion Arena on Stadium Road on 20th February 1998.
On 19th June 2009, he received an additional Mandate while praying, the Holy Spirit said, “ Making many rich” which was confirmed in 1 Cor 6:10. So, in addition to the Apostolic and Prophetic Mandate, he has been given the Mandate to “ Make Many Rich”- the Prosperity Mandate. He received yet another mandate to raise role models and set the pace in education, hence the birth of Zoe Heritage Model School in 2014, a high standard Nursery and Primary School.
Impact in Ministry
Pastor Sunny Cookey’s Ministry has been a blessing to many lives. His Television and Radio Ministries have recorded diverse testimonies of healing, deliverance and salvation of souls. He holds a Monthly Power Packed program known as Power Night: An all Night of Healings, Miracles, Signs and Wonders. Many souls have been saved and set free from the shackles and bondages of the devil through this program.
As part of his love for God and Souls, he goes out with his Team weekly for Evangelism. Through this Outreach, many have come to know and be established in the Lord.
He is also the President of Kingdom Exploits Ministerial Network international, a gathering for Ministers and Church leaders. To God be the glory!

Marital Life
Pastor Sunny Cookey is happily married to his beautiful wife, Pastor Uloma Sunny-Cookey and they are blessed with four God-fearing and lovely children.
